Hi, I’m Mary — CEO and Co-Founder of Formilist. Thank you for taking the time to learn about what we’re building.
Formilist started with a frustration I couldn’t ignore. After 16 years of building and scaling businesses — across logistics, media, and technology — I kept running into the same wall: the tools teams rely on every day are passive. They store work. They don’t do it.
Every company I’ve led has had the same problem. You buy Asana or Notion to get organized, and within weeks you’re spending more time managing the tools than doing the work. The software becomes another job.
I knew there had to be a better way — not just a smarter interface, but a fundamentally different model. One where AI doesn’t just suggest — it executes.
I’ve spent my career building in environments where execution is everything. I scaled a logistics company to $7M in revenue across five states. I’ve managed budgets exceeding $150M and teams of 200+ people across multiple ventures. And through all of it, the hardest part was never the vision — it was getting a distributed team to execute consistently, without dropping balls, without constant manual oversight.
That’s the problem Formilist solves. Not by adding another dashboard. By replacing the entire category with something that actually works alongside your team — surfacing blockers before they become crises, prioritizing what matters, scheduling what needs to happen, and keeping everyone aligned without anyone having to chase status updates.
What gives me confidence isn’t just the technology — it’s the validation. Before we launched publicly, an award-winning forex brokerage with three global offices discovered Formilist at a tech gathering in Cyprus and immediately chose to replace both Asana and Notion. They didn’t ask for a pilot. They signed an annual contract. That’s not a coincidence — that’s a signal. The market is ready for a tool that executes, not just tracks.
I’m also deeply intentional about how we’re building this company. We’re raising a seed round not because we have a roadmap and a dream — but because we have a live product, a paying enterprise customer, and a clear path to profitability by Year 2. Every dollar we raise is tied to a specific outcome: enterprise acquisition, product depth, and distribution through our sister platform, Nivafy.
We’re still early, but the foundation is real. If you believe AI should be doing more than generating text — if you believe the future of work is one where software carries execution weight rather than just documenting it — then I think you’ll see exactly what we see in Formilist.
I’d love to continue the conversation.
Warmly,
Mary Ali
